Stuck inside this old cage
Puts Polly in a rage.
Marching round, to and fro,
“Let me out! Let me go!”
“Skat cat, just run away.
You nasty, sleazy stray.”
I squawk real loud to cat,
“Now! Leave, you fur ball
brat!”
That damn cat stays right
here.
Wants me for lunch, I fear
“Take this stalker away!”
Cat Hisses, “You’re my PREY!”
‘What’s this noise all
about?’
“Polly, I’ll let you out “.
She picks up my stalker.
Frees me of that gawker.
I fly across the room,
High, low, around I zoom.
It’s hard work, I’ve no doubt.
By Nap time, I’m worn out.
Snooze on my perch, I’m beat.
Dream I’m feline’s lunchmeat.
I wake in total fear
Cat made his threat real
clear.
“My cage!” I rush inside,
To where it’s safe, and hide.
Inside these bars I’ll stay
