      A PANDEMIC

J. Price

The pandemic’s come back again.
grandma told me it could.

“Get prepared for that misfortune”.
She warned, “do as you should.”

Of course there’s been no antidote,
No pill or new vaccine.

I must endure this time of toil.
And keep my house bleach clean.

My face is covered in a mask.
Can’t see a thing I do.

I try to speak but only hear.
My muffled words come through.

The best part of wearing my mask
It lets me breath clean air.

I warn you, stay away from me.
A bare face shows no care.

There are so many kinds of sick.
Covid19 is one.

Apathy, and stupidity,
Are things to overcome.

I wish all to be in good health.
I care for fellow man.

We can win working together.
Make kindness a life’s plan.
