voices from the arroyo

Voices, Little Magazine, will publish original writings and other arts by friends in the area of the Arroyo Seco Canyon in Southern California.

And we have friends in other places, near other Arroyos or not.  So there will be contributors from other parts of California and elsewhere.

Issues can include: poetry, prose (essays, opinion, and etc.), fiction, film (loglines, treatments, and etc.), photography, and music.  And more.

Voices presents works your great grandmother and friends would also be at ease with.  Especially if your great-grandmother and friends are free-thinkers, free spirits, and are tolerant of the follies of humankind.

Frequency of issues will be irregular but we will try to publish more that twice a year.  Issues will be identified by year and month.

The Arroyo Seco Canyon starts in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Pasadena and continues south through local communities including South Pasadena, Highland Park, and Mt. Washington and joins with the Los Angeles River near Elysian ParkFor more see Arroyo Seco Foundation and Arroyo Seco (Los Angeles County).
